instaweek

for frequent highlights, follow me @robina_black

highlights from my week:
- we had a white house tour on our anniversary trip! it was so neat to be able to walk through such a historic place! and the neatest part of the tour is that you get to exit through the front door! (if you want to do a white house tour, it has to be scheduled months in advance through your senator!)

- on our drive from Ohio to DC we stopped at a pet store & saw this adorable sheltie pup! we have a sheltie, but i never knew her as a puppy because Thomas got her long before we met! so this was my first time getting to play with a puppy sheltie! we really wish we could have taken her home!

- one of my best friends got engaged on memorial day!!! i am SO excited for her & can't wait for this picture to be turned around where she is the bride! we got together on Thursday for dinner and she asked me to be her matron of honor! she is my first close friend to get married so i am super excited to be a part of her special day!

- my parents kept Dixie while we were on our trip. Dixie lived with my parents while i was there and while i was away at college. she quickly became my dad's favorite dog, so he loves to have her come visit sometimes! Dixie did nothing but lay around all week, i think she's tired from all the extra attention she got from my parents!

  2. how cute is that little sheltie? we have a cockapoo, but i'm trying to convince jon that we also need a golden-doodle so she has someone to play with :)

  9. I have to steer clear of pet stores. We almost brought home an english bulldog once. And he wasn't cheap.

  10. ha! i completely get that! that's how my basset hound got here - i saw her and had always wanted a basset - so i bought her & brought her home. i was living with my parents then and my dad about flipped when i walked in with a dog. she got to stay though!
