our first anniversary | the wilds

we discovered an animal park an hour away from our cabin called The Wilds and we knew we had to visit it! i am glad we did because it was so neat! the Wilds owns over 9,000 acres and they are the largest wildlife conservation center for endangered species in North America! we did the open air safari tour and it was about 2 hours of animal fun! we drove through pastures upon pastures of animals just hanging out! then halfway through we got to get out and see some carnivores from a distance! there were 4 cheetahs that are pretty elusive but we spotted them all! we even saw a little groundhog running beside the bus on the side of the road! the wild horses recently had a baby so we got to see it too! so cute!

  5. Wow!! How fun is this! I have never heard of this place before. It's like you guys got to go on a safari, but without having to go to Africa! As cool as it would be to go on a safari in Africa... ha!

  8. Robyn! I want to huge all those animals. They are just so darn cute. Too bad you couldn't have your dog there ... I'm sure he would have given some scowling looks to all the other creatures around =). Glad you had a good time there.
