the circle | reverse bucket list

do you have a list of things you want to do before you leave this earth? also known as a bucket list. i have a working list in my mind, but nothing that is committed to paper yet. although, i guess my 30 by 30 list is a kind of bucket list of sorts.

anyhow, for the circle link up this month Kiki chose the theme of a reverse bucket list. which is exactly what it sounds like - things that you have already done in your life! i thought this would be a fun exercise to look back & remember all of the amazing & silly things that have happened in my short life so far!

1. take a selfie with a penguin

2. be an aunt to 2 awesome nephews

3. explore England & France

4. ride an elephant

5. tour the White House & get mail from the President!

6. live in Alaska for a summer during college

7. have a mini-me

8. graduate summa cum laude with an accounting degree in 3 1/2 years.

9. have awesome pets - like a basset hound & bunny

10. build a snow penguin

11. hang out in Yellowstone National Park for a week with my new husband!

12. be photobombed by a camel

13. eat a grasshopper

14. run a 5k

15. be a matron of honor

what is on your reverse bucket list? OR on your bucket list?

  2. A few of those I don't particularly want to ever have on my reverse bucket list...like eat a grasshopper. :P I haven't been in a wedding since we got married, so I've yet to be a "matron" anything--I really hope to get the chance someday!

  5. Alaska! I lived in Alaska for close to 11 years. My dad was stationed on an airforce base there. It's so incredibly beautiful (northern lights!). I miss it sometimes.

  8. Great list! Alaska, Yellowstone and running a 5-K are all things I would love to experience, not so sure about eating that grasshopper. Earning a degree in 3.5 years with honors is super impressive!

  9. You have done some fun and great things!

Alaska during college!? How fun! What part were you in and what did you do? Also, great choice on the honeymoon spot. I would love to do something like that. Maybe Yellowstone since I've checked off Yosemite.

And I should make an edit to my list. I've been to the Grand Canyon and it is amazing! I cried the first time I saw it.

  24. haha i am an animal magnet! i think they know that i love them! :)

  25. yes! you can actually request a tour!! you have to request it through one of your state senators.... about 3-4 months before your trip. we requested it in February & got approval at the end of April.. for our trip in May. it depends on when you are going & if they have it open for tours on the days you request. but it was so much fun!!!

you only get to tour the bottom floor & not all of it. you see a lot, but you don't go anywhere in the "lived in" house or the oval office or anything. it's awesome & you should do it if you go to DC!!

Yellowstone is so awesome... i want to go back so bad!!! :)

  26. hahaha! i was wondering if anyone would click it! ;)

England was just as amazing as i thought it would be!! i went to London, Bath, Salisbury, & Stonehenge. it was only 4 days & i could have explored for weeks! i definitely want to go back someday!!
