30 things I've learned in 30 years

a few years ago (4 to be exact) I did a post entitled 26 things I've learned in 26 years. since I just turned the big three-oh (this morning!), I decided it would be fun to do another post of this sort. only this time I came up with 30 things I've learned in 30 years! I didn't read back through the post I made four years ago, so it will be interesting to see if I have similar things on each list! although, this time I made each point a little shorter (& lighter), because it takes a while to read through (and type up) 30 things!

obviously this picture was taken during winter lol cause I'd burn up in that jacket during August in the south!

30 THINGS I'VE LEARNED IN 30 YEARS

o1; time goes by SO FAST!

o2; sharing your struggles & weaknesses will help others share theirs too!

o3; there is always something to learn from every experience that you have!

o4; life is better when it can be spent with people who get you!

o5; your entire life can change in one instant (one doctor's appointment, one wreck, one phone call)

o6; spending the day in nature can help put things into perspective!

o7; procrastination never pays off! (if you just bite the bullet and #doworkson, then you can enjoy your downtime without the work looming over your head!)

o8; it stinks to be sick as an adult (because you still have to do everything you would normally do!)

o9; you have the ability and the "okay" to change your mind if you want to!

1o; marriage will not fix the problems you have (if anything, it will complicate them further!)

11; you have a lot of opportunity to get free food during your college years - take them!

12; always have a pet! they make the bad days a little brighter!

13; you cannot do everything you're asked to do (and that's okay!)

14; it's okay to cry (and if you live long enough, you will have plenty of occasions to!)

15; don't assume you know someone's story or intention, just be kind!

16; you feel so much better when you get a full night's sleep!

17; take chances when you're young (it's better to know than to wonder "what if?")

18; you do use math in everyday life (at least, if you budget!)

19; forgiving others will set you free!

2o; college is not the best 4 years of your life (there are so many more freedoms as you grow older!)

21; laughter is the best medicine (it can heal your heart & stop an argument!)

22; Hanson's "Snowed In" will always be the best Christmas album!

23; always take pictures (you will be glad you have the memories!)

24; children really do grow up so fast!

25; the more money you have, the more money you're apt to spend!

26; men and women think so, so differently (like, SO differently!)

27; you should try weird things... you may find out you like them!

28; your body will always let you know when you need to slow down!

29; you can find something you admire in every person you meet, if you look hard enough!

3o; thirty is really not that old! ;) but you do start feeling the aging process hit you! (for example, it takes me a looooottt longer to get up off the floor than it used to, haha!)

sadly, I still don't know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop, though!
what is the most important thing you've learned thus far?
