candy sleighs | a great last minute crafty gift

one month ago today, we walked through our house for the first time. we had only decided to buy a house, rather than build, 4 days earlier. we closed on our house in 3 1/2 weeks, so you could say the past month has been a bit hectic! i planned on decorating our mantle for Christmas, but not trying to put up a tree or decorate the house, since i doubt we will even be unpacked much by the time Christmas gets here this year.

since we were under a time crunch this holiday season, i really had no idea what i was going to do for my coworkers for Christmas. i wanted to make a craft for everyone, but i had 12 people to make a gift for, and knew it would have to be something fairly simple to make. a few years ago, someone gave me a sleigh made out of chocolate and candy canes. it was super cute, so i figured i would make a sleigh for my coworkers! it took me a few hours to get them all glued together, but i think they came out super cute! i already gave them out at work & they were a hit!

materials needed:
1 kit kat bar for each sleigh
2 candy canes for each sleigh
1 chocolate santa for each sleigh
6 hershey's miniatures for each sleigh
hot glue gun
ribbon (optional)

o1; hot glue the hershey's miniatures to the right side of the kit kat bar. these are the "presents", and i glued mine in a stack of 3 on the bottom, 2 in the middle, and 1 on top.
o2; hot glue the santa chocolate to the front of the "present" pile
o3; hot glue the candy canes to the bottom of the kit kat so that the hooks come up in front
o4; tie a ribbon around the "present" pile, with a bow on top (i didn't do this step b/c i didn't have time, but it may add some flair!)

this is a pretty simple craft, but it comes out super cute! they are great for kids and adults, and they are pretty quick to make, so it is a great last minute gift to put together! all you need is candy and some glue! ;)

what is your favorite crafty gift to give?
